What's not included?

  • All of our destinations require an entry visa. Estimated visa turnaround times and costs are as follows: Zanzibar 2-3 weeks. Approximately US$50
  • Tips
  • Departing gifts and/or donations for the partner school teachers and students (optional)
  • Drinks (bottled water and any soft drinks along the way)
  • Snacks
  • Pop up mosquito nets ( Optional)
  • It is the Participant’s responsibility to ensure that they have taken full care of their medical precautions by consulting their GP/travel nurse at least 6-8 weeks prior to travel. Further information may also be found on https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice or https://travelhealthpro.org.uk/countries . No vaccination costs are included in the trip price.
  • Should the Participant opt to take Malaria tablets, the cost of these may be somewhere in the region of £1.40 - £2.40 per tablet (prices are approximate and may vary), and may require the Participant to start the tablets ahead of travel, and for a time following the return to the UK. Always seek medical advice to ensure they are taken correctly.
  • DBS checks for over 18s. Approx £50
  • Additional excursions may incur a small fee
  • Zanzibar have now introduced a mandatory travel entry insurance which you will need to purchase before travel this is roughly $40 but this can be done as a group which then offers a discounted price.

This flight-inclusive package organised by African Adventures is ATOL protected. When you pay and book your place, you will receive an ATOL certificate on your My African Adventure account. This lists what is financially protected, where you can get information on what this means for you and who to contact if things go wrong.
