My name is Gabriel, I live in the United Kingdom. My school has offered me the chance of a life time to take part in a volunteering trip to spend 10 days working in Zanzibar, Africa with the African Adventure’s charity in one of their partner schools. I’m half way through my fundraising time, and have been busy with cake and sweet sales, seeking corporate sponsorship and most recently teamed up with a fellow pupil and hockey player Jacob to take advantage of the warm weather selling cold drinks and icecream sales, at my hockey clubs inter club summer league. The trip takes place in 2027. When I’m there I will have the chance to support the school and children with a range of activities including work to help build much needed facilities at the site, spending time in the classroom teaching and sport coaching. I will be spending the next 18 months fundraising for the trip and I would highly appreciate any donations towards my trip.
