Hi, my name is Szymon and I have been in scouting for 7 years. During this time I have done both my bronze and silver Duke of Edinburgh awards, as well as receiving a Jack Petchey Award from my fellow scouts.
I have recently been fortunate enough to be selected for a volunteering expedition to the country of Zanzibar in order to help build educational facilities for those in need.
The money raised will go exclusively towards funding this experience which will take place during the summer of 2026.
Due to my GCSEs, I have been unable to do many fundraising activities before now, so I will dedicate a day of my upcoming trip to Lake District to do a hike as a challenge related to my fund raising. This hike will be a 11km loop up Helvellyn, third highest peak in England, starting and ending at Glenridding. This will take place at some point this week, but the day may vary due to weather conditions.
